CiviliNation is a global, 501(c)(3) non-profit charity organization taking a stand against online harassment, character assassination and violence. Its goal is to advance the full capability of individuals to communicate and engage in cyberspace in a responsible and accountable way. A strong supporter of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, CiviliNation believes that free speech is enhanced through civil dialog and a rational exchange of information and ideas. By fostering an online culture in which individuals can fully engage and contribute without fear or threat of being the target of unwarranted abuse, harassment, or lies, the core ideals of democracy are upheld. CiviliNation’s name is derived from a combination of the words civilization, civility, and nation. CiviliNation's work focuses on the adult population (age 18+). Founder and President
Andrea Weckerle is an American attorney and the author of Civility in the Digital Age: How Companies and People Can Triumph over Haters, Trolls, Bullies and Other Jerks. She earned her Juris Doctor at T.C. Williams School of Law, University of Richmond, where she also served on the Senior Staff of the Richmond Journal of Law & Technology, the first exclusively online law journal in the U.S. In addition to her law degree, she underwent extensive mediation training, earning certificates in Commercial Mediation and Conflict Resolution Processes.

Board of Directors
The CiviliNation Board of Directors is comprised of four Directors. The Board of Directors is responsible for establishing and continuously refining the organization's mission and purpose. It also monitors and strengthens CivilNation's programs, ensures the organization's legal and ethical integrity, and enhances its public standing.
